Resolution - Opposition to Mandatory Child Immunizations
WHEREAS, more public scrutiny is being give to the inherit dangerous of immunizations;
WHEREAS, child immunizations are mandated by the Texas Heath and Safety Code, Chapter 161, Subchapter A, Immunizations, but damage liability is the responsibility of the parent or guardian, allowing schools, doctors, manufacturers, and the state to be immune to legal claims;
WHEREAS, the state, schools, doctors, and others fail to inform parents and guardians that the requirements for immunization can be waived under certain circumstances;
WHEREAS, immunizations can impair, limit, or end life;
WHEREAS, our right to life is unalienable and protected by the state and federal constitutions in conjunction with due process;
WHEREAS, it is the sworn duty of our elected officials and military to protect and defend the principles of the Texas and US Constitutions;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Travis County Republican Liberty Caucus’ (TCRLC) president shall request in writing to our elected officials and others who have taken an oath to defend the rights of Texas citizens to stop immediately the deceptive practice of mandatory immunization.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Travis County Republican Liberty Caucus’ president shall request in writing to our state representatives and senators the rewrite of the Texas Heath and Safety Code, Chapter 161, Subchapter A, Immunizations, removing mandatory immunization and creating a non-ambiguous system of informed consent for those who choose to immunize their children.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the TCRLC recommends to the Travis County Republic Party the adoption of this resolution.
